The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway is designed to enable you to wirelessly transmit music from your BlackBerry device to your home or portable stereo. The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway does not use a battery, it is powered by the BlackBerry Travel Charger.
The BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway uses Bluetooth(TM) technology to establish a wireless connection with your BlackBerry device. After you pair your BlackBerry Stereo Gatway with your BlackBerry device, you can connect to the BlackBerry Stereo Gateway when it is within range of your BlackBerry device (a typical range is approximately 10 meters).
The BlackBerry Stereo Gateway does not wirelessly transmit calls that you receive on your BlackBerry device to your stereo.

Prerequisites When Using BlackBerry Remote Stereo Gateway
- Verify that you are using a Bluetooth enabled BlackBerry device and that Bluetooth technology is turned on.
- Verify that your BlackBerry device is running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.2.2 or later.
- Verify that you have a BlackBerry Travel Charger.
- Verify that your stereo has a 3.5mm auxiliary input jack or RCA auxiliary input jacks.
NOTE: To function as a Bluetooth Gateway, phones and music players must be A2DP Bluetooth enabled via an A2DP profile (or A2DP adapter).
